Fetch Bot

MSc. Media Technology – elective course Robotics – Spring 2020

In collaboration with Jordy van Miltenburg, Joost Mollen and Martijn Wester.

We designed a robot that can play fetch by itself. The robot should be able to autonomously search for a ball in a stable environment, pick it up, throw it away and repeat. Fetch Bot is an extended Monsterborg equipped with a pick-up mechanism, shooting mechanism and ball tracking and recognition software. Documentation on research and prototyping can be found here.
